Showroom & Inventory Assistant

W4, Non-Exempt, Part-Time (15-20 hrs/ wk.)
$25/hr.
(On-site, Echo Park– Los Angeles)
Must be available to work Saturdays


We’re looking for a creative, detail-driven part-time team member to help keep our showroom, inventory, and client experience running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn a lot, touch almost every part of the business, and work closely with a small, passionate team. If you love great design, enjoy digging into the details, and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves, you’ll fit right in.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Support & Client Interaction

  • Welcome and guide clients through the showroom with warmth and professionalism
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and social media.
  • Generate and manage invoices, estimates, and  memos in QuickBooks
  • Keep inventory and sales platforms updated in real time
  • Research and document product details (designer, year, model, provenance, pricing)
  • Support day-to-day admin tasks to keep things running seamlessly

Inventory & Platform Management
  • Assist with product intake: measuring, labeling, organizing, and entering inventory details
  • Ensure listings—pricing, dimensions, condition—are accurate and beautifully presented
  • Manage listings on 1stDibs, our website, and internal inventory systems
  • Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow

Qualifications
  • Experience in customer service, retail, showroom, or administrative roles preferred
  • Highly organized with a natural eye for detail (and design!)
  • Warm, clear, and professional communicator—written and verbal
  • Adaptable, proactive, and collaborative team player
  • Comfortable juggling different tasks in a dynamic, design-focused space
  • Familiarity with 1stDibs or similar platforms is helpful
  • QuickBooks experience or willingness to learn
  • A genuine love for mid-century design is strongly preferred
  • Bonus: digital photography skills, Photoshop, Lightroom

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs with help when needed
  • Physical tasks include walking, bending, lifting, and moving furniture and décor
  • Seasonal warehouse conditions: sometimes hot, sometimes chilly
  • Closed-toe shoes required; casual, clean, and comfortable attire expected
  • Saturday availability required
